The options menu often contains context sensitive options, and always contains the Find Sample… item, which will take you to the sample number directly, if it exists.
The Scan Sample button can also be long-pressed and allows you to manually enter a label number, rather than scanning it.
In most activities, taping on an item will allow you to edit it, and you can also use item-specific menu buttons (
) to see more options.
